About The Training
LIVE Dates: 11/12 & 18/19 & 25/26 May (3 consecutive weekends) + 90 days recording access
This 60hr MyoYin Teacher Training is designed for teachers and practitioners interested in learning more about fascia, it’s connection to our yin yoga practice and the various ways to intelligently manipulative this connective tissue to improve mobility, stimulate Qi flow and optimize overall health.
In this specialized programme, will discuss the latest science and theory behind fascia, whilst covering the technical aspects of how to practice and teach yin yoga and myofascial release techniques – as well as the creative combination of these two modalities, known as MyoYin.
The functional anatomy component of this training we will study bone morphology, looking in particular at skeletal variation of the spine. Interactive anatomy labs will be set up to allow students to carry out range-of-motion tests, so as to analyse anatomical variations and individual bio-mechanics. We will then learn how to skilfully apply our observations and insights into pose modifications to support an individualized, functional yoga practice.
Graduates of this yin yoga teacher training will leave with the knowledge and skills to sequence and teach a thoughtful and MyoYin class, to all levels.
The training will be split into three parts:
Fascia Studies & Myofascial Release (Current Research, Theory & Practice)
Yin Yoga and MyoYin (Techniques & Teaching Methods)
Applied Yoga Anatomy (Spine)
Important Information:
This training will be predominantly carried out live via Zoom over three consecutive weekends (Sat-Sun).
Pre-recorded MyoYin classes will be sent out each week, prior to the live sessions.
Attendance to the live sessions is recommended and highly encouraged, but not mandatory.
All registrants will have 90 days access to the recordings after each session, except for the group activity (which cannot be recorded). This means that those in different time zones who are unable to attend live, can still enjoy the full training via recording.
Self-study and homework will be included. Homework will be a mix of reading assignments and a sequencing exercise.
Upon completion of the training, certificates will be emailed to those who met the requirements of the course. These hours can be added towards your Yoga Alliance continuing education credits.
This training is open to yoga teachers, as well as serious practitioners wishing to deepen their own knowledge and practice.
