Teacher Training Program Overview

The Yintelligence teacher training curriculum is designed as a series of modules that allow students to build on their knowledge and specific areas of interest, at their own pace.

The six 50hr modules will each cover important theory of yin yoga, ranging from fundamentals to speciality topics. Each training will explore a very different modality and/or anatomical focus. The goal is for students to deepen their knowledge of skeletal variation and a functional approach to yoga, at the same time as honouring the more subtle, inner practices of self-inquiry and psycho-spiritual development.

Of the six modules, three fall under the category of Body Yintelligence and three under Emotional Yintelligence. (*For a detailed outline of each module, click on the images/buttons below.)

Graduates will leave with an intelligent, diverse and well-rounded toolkit that will provide them with the ability to skilfully practise and teach yin and functional yoga, whilst bringing the yoga traditions into a more modern and systematic approach, on the Path towards transforming the body, heart and mind.

For each individual module undertaken, a 50hr certificate will be issued, which can be submitted as continuing education credits with the Yoga Alliance.

Prerequisites:

  • Module 1 and 2 can be taken in any order. There are no prerequisites for these modules.

  • Module 3 - Module 1 is the minimum entry requirement for module 3, although taking both modules 1 and 2 prior is recommended. This is to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the key anatomical components that will be the basis for analyzing all the hatha poses.

Those who have studied yin and functional anatomy with a pre-approved senior yin trainer, endorsed in teaching Paul Grilley’s 14-10-7 method, will also be permitted to join. Certificates must be sent as proof of attendance. Please email info@yintelligence.com to confirm eligibility.

  • Module 1 or 2 must be taken before taking modules 4-6.
